NBA克里夫蘭騎士目前以11勝2敗開季戰績，東區獨佔鰲頭，除了詹姆斯（LeBron James）和厄文（Kyrie Irving）兩大球星的出色發揮，騎士前鋒勒夫（Kevin Love）本季脫胎換骨的表現，令人印象深刻。
克里夫蘭媒體報導，騎士教練泰隆魯（Tyronn Lue）執掌騎士後，他在戰術端給了勒夫更靠近籃框持球機會，更多戰術設計幫助勒夫找回球感和信心，是挖掘勒夫潛能的重要功臣。今年球季勒夫場均21.8分、10.8籃板，是全聯盟僅有兩名得分、籃板20-10的球員，另一名是紐奧良鵜鶘前鋒戴維斯（Anthony Davis），上季勒夫在騎士場均16分、9.9籃板，表現依舊不俗，但進攻端顯示非常掙扎。
泰隆魯說，「勒夫原本就是一名很出色球員，我並沒有施展任何魔法，我只是讓他更靠近籃框持球，給他低位空間，並且要求他打出侵略性和製造犯規，他現在打得非常棒，他是球隊最重要的低位進攻武器之一。」
勒夫昨天在主場對波特蘭拓荒者的比賽，第一節砍進8個三分，單節攻下34分，一鳴驚人，整個NBA同時因為勒夫的超人表現感到震撼。
今年球季勒夫確實得到更多機會，尤其是在進攻端，勒夫在低位持球，在高位掩護、策應，幾乎是騎士進攻戰術第一選項，讓勒夫成為第一個進攻點和選擇，再拉開騎士各種戰術，泰隆魯徹底解放勒夫，幫助勒夫打出加入騎士三年最大信心。
